What can a fabric offer beyond its looks? A shoe buckle? A hole for laces? My journey led me to explore the functionality of textiles in new dimensions, diving into the realm of 3D weaving techniques. I examined how these three-dimensional elements can enhance design and began envisioning their application within woven structures. Inspired by earthy tones and the natural dents and holes in the ground, I developed a knit collection that investigates functionality in knitwear, the possibilities of 3D forms, and the interweaving of design within footwear. This approach highlights the vital connection between aesthetics and practical application in woven textiles.
